Action To The Word deliver dynamic, exciting and shocking theatre from new musicals to electrifying adaptations of classics.
Led by Company Director Alexandra Spencer-Jones, Action To The Word are currently touring their award-winning A CLOCKWORK ORANGE which is co-produced by the international producers of Stomp, Glynis Henderson Productions. Created originally for London's fringe, the show continues to thrive, running to rave reviews and a sell-out season at the Soho Theatre before touring all over the world. A Clockwork Orange has just completed its tour of Norway, having played in Asia, Australia and all over the UK.
In June Action To The Word will world-premiere international play BUSSTOPKISSER (for which they were finalists for the Company of Angels Young Theatremakers Award 2014) in rep with their inaugural play SHAKESPEARE SHORTS, celebrating Shakespeare's 450th Birthday. Both shows will play at Camden People's Theatre from June 24th - July 6th (not Mondays) - tickets available here.
This summer they will premiere their brand-new actor-musician production of DRACULA, adapted by company director Alexandra Spencer-Jones. The show will preview at Pleasance London before running at Pleasance throughout this year's Edinburgh Festival.
Recently they won a WhatOnStage/MTM Award for their new musical CONSTANCE & SINESTRA AND THE CABINET OF SCREAMS which ran at 2011's Edinburgh Festival to critical acclaim, transferred to the New Wimbledon Theatre produced by The Ambassadors Theatre Group and played at this year's Latitude Festival, continuing into development in 2014.
